Somerest Junior Champions
Sunday 1st March we played Vivary
and Mendip Spring in the League playoff finals at Taunton Vale and we won.
The format was 4-ball better ball stableford off 3/4 handicap. Our team with
the pairings of Stefan Golledge & Alex Todd, George Hobbs & Sam Collard,
Chris Coles & Josh Hilleard and Will Hobbs & James Abbott scored 159 points
beating Vivary who scored 139 points and Mendip Spring who scored 138
points.
Played in very bright but windy conditions Taunton Vale provided quite a
different challenge for the boys as the greens were playing exceptionally
hard and quick, very different to what we have been used to recently at
Farrington. Nevertheless as the score suggests they all rose to the
challenge exceptionally well.
Very well done to those that played and
well done to everyone that played in the team during the year.
